SCBA Cinco de Mayo Golf Outing Raises $90K for South Coast Youth

The SouthCoast Business Alliance (SCBA) hosted another unforgettable event at LeBaron Hills Country Club in Lakeville</strong] during our annual Cinco de Mayo Golf Outing. While final numbers are still being tallied, early estimates show we raised nearly $90,000 in revenue before expenses — a tremendous show of support for our youth programs across the South Coast.

Investing in the Future of the South Coast

Every dollar raised at the SCBA Golf Outing directly supports scholarships, after-school programs, transportation assistance, and career development opportunities for young people in our region.

SCBA is a volunteer-driven organization made up of 18 active members and 16 emeritus members who have contributed more than 10 years of service. Together, we’ve raised and reinvested over $900,000 across the South Coast, supporting impactful organizations such as:

  • Dennison Memorial Community Center
  • Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County
  • Boys and Girls Clubs of New Bedford and Fall River
  • Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts
  • Whaling City youth organizations, Gnome Surf, ASAP, SEYAA, and more

SCBA’s Approach: People + Programs + Partnerships

We don’t just fundraise — we stay involved. SCBA builds lasting relationships with local youth, service providers, and schools. Our members give their time to mentor students, organize community events, and ensure that programs are comprehensive, sustainable, and equitable.
