Sep 4, 2025 | Donating

At the South Coast Business Alliance (SCBA), we’re passionate about empowering young people to dream big and build brighter futures. That’s why we’re proud to announce our recent $3,000 donation to Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts, supporting the JA Titan Business Challenge; a program that gives local high school students hands-on experience in business, leadership, and decision making.

Building Future Careers Through Mentorship

The JA Titan Business Challenge is more than a competition, it’s a launchpad for students across Southern Massachusetts and the South Coast region to explore career paths and sharpen critical thinking skills. With guidance from local business mentors, participants step into the role of CEO, making real-time decisions in a simulated marketplace. It’s an experience that blends teamwork, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship, preparing students for future careers in business and beyond.

Strengthening Our Community Roots

Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts has been bringing programs like the Titan Challenge to schools in cities and towns across the South Coast, from New Bedford High School and Dartmouth to Fall River and beyond. By investing in these programs, SCBA is helping ensure that young people from every neighborhood have the tools, confidence, and connections to succeed.

SCBA’s Ongoing Impact Across the South Coast

For SCBA, supporting the JA Titan Business Challenge is part of a broader mission—strengthening nonprofits and youth initiatives that make our region stronger. This $3,000 donation with Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts, will ensure that more students can participate in the JA Titan Business Challenge, gaining skills that will carry them through high school, into college, and into successful careers right here in Southern Massachusetts.
